Description
Our terraced cottage is situated on the St.Cuthberts Way and not far from the finish of the Penine Way with fantastic walking for all abilities. Cessford is overlooked by the formidable remains of Cessford Castle. Kelso and Jedburgh each about 6 miles are small towns with cobbled streets where you can visit Floors Castle, Mary Queen of Scots House and Jedburgh Abbey. Monteviot Water Gardens are at the end of the road and Harestaines Country Park and Bowmont Forest are a 5 minute drive away.
We have maps and 2 folders containing leaflets with things to do and places to visit in the local area. We are just over an hours drive from Edinburgh & have some of the most stunning landscapes in Scotland. Our nearest airports are Edinburgh just over 1 hour, Newcastle 1.5 hours and Glasgow 1hour 45mins.

We are both 42 and Malcolm is a plasterer who works locally and Alison works for a charity. Our children are Megan 12 who breeds and shows guinea pigs (they live outside & we will arrange for someone to care for them while we are away) Emily 8 and into ballet & Iona 5 into anything pink and fluffy! We offer animal care in return for you feeding our two cats Tuppence & Princess.
We have completed several exchanges and should like to travel to France for Easter, July, October and Xmas/NewYear 2011.
