About the location

Greenfield is a semi-rural village, about one mile from the edge of the Peak District National Park. The next village across the moors is Holmfirth, made famous by the TV programme `Last of the Summer Wine`.

The house has the amenities you`d hope for within easy walking distance - cafes and coffee shops, multiple pubs and restaurants, a large supermarket, railway station, access to the moorland. It takes 20 to 25 minutes to reach central Manchester on the train.

Saddleworth is a collection of Yorkshire villages, famous for their brass band contests, Yanks weekend (it was filmed in the neighbouring village of Uppermill) and the Rush Cart parade.

Dovestones Reservoir and the Dark Peak moorland beyond is within 20 mins walking distance or a 5 minute drive/cycle.

The Huddersfield Narrow Canal is 5 minutes walk away, offering gentle strolls if the high moorland doesn`t appeal.
